PERSEVERANCE

IT'S A RARE PERSON who doesn't get discouraged. Whether it happens to us or to an associate we're trying to cheer up, the answer centers around one word: perseverance.

The value of courage, persistence, and perseverance has rarely been illustrated more convincingly than in the life story of this man (his age appears on the right):

Failed in business 22
Ran for Legislature --- defeated 23
Again failed in business 24
Elected to Legislature 25
Sweetheart died 26
Had a nervous breakdown 27
Defeated for Speaker 29
Defeated for Elector 31
Defeated for Congress 34
Elected for Congress 37
Defeated for Congress 39
Defeated for Senate 46
Defeated for Vice President 47
Defeated for Senate 49
Elected President of the United States 51

That's the record of Abraham Lincoln. - Bits and Pieces

Asenso Pinas (Sa Negosyo, Uunlad Tayo!)

Hello! My name is Raul B. Romilla. Filipino entrepreneur. Since I stopped being an employee three years ago, my focus now is primarily on recurring, passive income.

Recurring means it happens every week or every month like clockwork. My latest business venture releases our checks every week so I earn my income four times a month.

Passive means with little effort required to maintain it.

Income simply means profit.

This is my initial blog in this site Asenso Pinas. I have several blogs on different topics such as Sports (Boxing Fanatico), Tech News (Pinoy Technut), Entertainment and this one will tackle different ways on upgrading ones financial life through doing business part time or full time. I will be quoting several personalities which I believe that their words of wisdom can prove a valuable lesson to people like me seeking enlightenment and aspiring success on any endeavors.

Here are several personalities that had been instrumental to my seeking financial stability and success.

Eugenio Isabelo Tomas Reyes Sanchez Jr. or widely known as Bo Sanchez is an author, entrepreneur, preacher, celebrity and lay evangelist in the Philippines.

Bo Sanchez was only 12 years old when he attended his first prayer meeting. He gave his first talk a few weeks after that – in the midst of mostly family members. The elder who asked him to give the talk had received a prophecy that Bo will preach to thousands. That has come to pass. Bo has also become a national bestselling author and winner of The Ten Oustanding Young Men (TOYM) for 2006. In 2007, he received the Serviam Award, the highest award of the Catholic Mass Media Awards, as well as the Golden Gavel Award by the Toastmasters International, the highest award given to non-Toastmasters for public speaking. On the other hand, Bo founded the Light of Jesus (LOJ) Family in 1980, and continues to provide direction and leadership to LOJ, envisioning 1000 Feasts all over the world. (The Feast is how the LOJ prayer meetings are called.) The Light of Jesus Family has helped Bo start various independent ministries, beneficiaries of Kerygma Conference. These include Anawim Lay Missions, a home for the abandoned elderly; Grace to Be Born, a halfway house for women in crisis; Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, an orphanage; Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation; He Cares Foundation, which helps streetkids; the Light of Jesus Counseling Center; and the Shepherd’s Voice Radio and Television Foundation, Inc. (SVRTV) which runs KCon. In another endeavour he is passionate about, Bo started the Catholic Filipino Academy to help parents who want to homeschool their kids. Bo is also a micro-entrepreneur and a financial literacy advocate. His regular blogs may be found at www.bosanchez.ph

“We are all wounded. But wounds are necessary for his healing light to enter into our beings. Without wounds and failure and frustrations and defeats, there will be no opening for his brilliance to tickle in and invade our lives. Failures in life are courses with very high tuition fees, so I don't cut classes and miss my lessons: on humility, on patience, on hope, on asking others for help, on listening to God, on trying again and again and again.”

“Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.”

Beginning in 1981, Tracy assembled his "success system", which was initially called "The Phoenix Seminar." Three years later, in 1985, he released an updated version of this seminar as a self-help audio tape entitled "The Psychology of Achievement".
Tracy's book Maximum Achievement was included as one of 50 success, motivation and leadership classics in the book 50 Success Classics[2] (2004) by Tom Butler-Bowdon.

Jim Rohn (September 17, 1930 - December 5, 2009) was an American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry. For more than 40 years, Jim Rohn honed his craft like a skilled artist-helping people the world over sculpt life strategies that have expanded their imagination of what is possible. Those who had the privilege of hearing him speak can attest to the elegance and common sense of his material. It is no coincidence, then, that he is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of our time, and thought of by many as a national treasure. Jim authored countless books and audio and video programs, and helped motivate and shape an entire generation of personal-development trainers and hundreds of executives from America's top corporations.

Born to an Idaho farming family in the mid-1900s, Jim was ingrained with a work ethic that has served him well throughout his life. At 25, he met his mentor Earl Shoaff. And over the next six years he made his first fortune, yet didn't get into speaking until he moved to Beverly Hills, California, when a friend at the Rotary Club asked him to tell his success story, which Rohn titled "Idaho Farm Boy Makes It to Beverly Hills."

His speech went over so well that he received more invitations to share it, and better yet, they started paying him for it. In the beginning, he spoke in front of college and high-school classes and at service clubs, before moving on to seminars in 1963, which launched him into the personal-development business. From then on, Jim Rohn became a trailblazer in the self help and personal development industry, impacting the lives of millions through his life-changing material.

There are two ways to face the future. One way is with apprehension; the other is with anticipation. - Jim Rohn
